You need to learn a lesson
a few rules of life
before you do something stupid
and scrape the edge of a knife
coz a blade is a very real thing, metaphorically
a threat on the other hand is twisted perpetually
you want to learn life without a help, but you need it
you don't want us feedin it to you neither
you're so depressed you looked up happy on wikipedia
coz you just can't deal with it or deal it out either
cut the pain and some slack
coz you havent been avoiding cracks
walking along with your head up high
that eye in the sky, not watching
your feet as they step on the lines
breaking bits of your mother's spine
it's a lie
a period of humiliation
coz you know that I know you like the sensation
being like you are puts you in control
you don't have to pay if your senses are cold
you dont have the fear as a lone tear rolls
coz you just dont know how to feel anymore
you let them take you for granted
and you want revenge
but you left it to late you'll never see them again
not the ones who really hurt you
now you've turned against you
staring back at that scared kid
mouth open but no words ever did
come out, and your regret is all thats left
an imprint on your own bones blood and flesh
a moment has gone and will never come back
you took that pill with a cowardly smack
and look at that
it's another vicious attack
another memory coming and looking to fight
wrestle you down but you say you dont feel it
your kidding me, now you can take it or leave it
it doesnt make a difference to me if you dont believe it but
pay attention now coz i'll give your life meaning
